This September I went on a trip to berlin with some people. We visited some friends where we also stayed for some nights and drank a lot of wine in the evenings. We stayed there for a total of four days. On saturday we went to the “Freedom not Fear” demonstration for more privacy and less surveillance. It was pretty cool and lots of open minded people have been there.

A big part of the crowd belonged to the german “Piraten Partei” and they also organized a large truck with loud music. It kind of felt like being at the Love Parade being near the truck and the overall atmosphere was really cool. Everybody had fun except the police. Probably you heard about the poor guy who got beaten up by them just because he asked for a police men’s ID.

Apart from the demonstration we were exploring Berlin without a certain destination just walking around, visiting certain spots and hanging around in cafés or bars.

Some time ago my mother asked me to take some photos at the dance event of the Laubach Dance Studio, where she takes lessons and dances – as a free time activity. I didn’t have time to prepare or take a look at the location I was going to take the photos.

The lighting conditions were quite bad as there was only a very dimmed light which changed a lot during the performance. Trying to take the pictures without a flash to accomplish more natural colors wasn’t easy. Especially as I wanted to take good pictures that didn’t look too blurry.
